Planning Department
The Planning Department plays a pivotal role in guiding the structured growth and development of urban and peri-urban areas within the Pune Metropolitan Region. Its key responsibilities include preparing and implementing development plans and town planning schemes, managing zoning regulations and facilitating infrastructure development. The department is committed to promoting sustainable and balanced urban growth, ensuring regulatory compliance and addressing both environmental and social concerns. Through effective planning and coordination, it aims to create well-organized, livable and economically vibrant regions that meet the needs of current and future populations.
- Prepare Development Plan using advanced technological tools (GIS). It will be strengthening e-governance by providing round the clock access to digital data, this would help end users to make legal and regulatory requirements in cost effective and efficient manner.
- Provision of infrastructural and social amenities through Development Plan.
- Updating Data and Maintenance with respect to ground reality.
- Preparation of Town Planning Schemes for land acquisition through land pooling and organised planned development.
- Carrying out required modifications to the sanctioned Regional Plan.
- Issuance of Zone Certificate, Part plan, Zoning demarcation/ Development Plan Remarks and Mean sea level Certificate.
- Co-ordination with other Departments and Authorities on various issues related to planning and development.
- Planning and remarks for sectors 5, 8, 9, 11 & 12 of the erstwhile PCNTDA which are merged in PMRDA.
- Process of any required modifications in Approved Regional.
- Preparation of DC Regulations for PMR.
- Implementation of Proposed Development Plan as per provisions of MRTP Act 1966.
- Process of any required modification in Approved Regional Plan-Pune.
