Metropolitan Commissioner – Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA)

As one of the highest authorities in rural and urban development, the PMRDA is responsible for long-term urban planning, developing the area’s infrastructure and ensuring that the region accommodates its growing population, which is driven by rapid industrialisation and economic progress by adapting innovative technology.

PMRDA’s efforts are further supported by collaboration with various local bodies such as the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), as well as input from industry associations, businesses, citizen groups and academics. Given Pune’s rich historical, educational and industrial significance, our mission is to make the Pune Metropolitan Region (PMR) a well-managed, sustainable and classic urban hub under the leadership of our government and implementing honest policies in benefit of our citizens.
